cubism thingy
This was just something I did on my own after I finished a different project. It wasn't an assignment.
kaleidoscope
This assignment was to create an image that gives the effect of looking through a kaleidoscope. We used a youtube tutorial to show us how to create these images. I used a picture of stairs for the first one (my favorite), a poster for vitamin water for the second one, and a picture of a gel window sticker cat for the last one.

Self Portrait Grid
This assignment was to create a 3x3 grid with different pictures of ourselves, and adjust the images in different ways. I didn't want to overload on color, so I made some of them black & white to balance out the bright colors on the others. I thought it was a fun project and am happy with how it turned out.

Pixlr.com Review
Pixlr.com is a website that allows users to work with a Photoshop-style picture editing program. It has the same toolbar and tool icons as Photoshop, which is useful. Pixlr is kind of a basic version of Photoshop, with less of a variety of options and less precision than Photoshop. However, it does have some different filters that aren't available in Photoshop. Pixlr is a good website for basic Photoshop functions, but it isn't as easy and comfortable to use as Photoshop, and over-all not as good. I would recommend Pixlr for people who don't have Photoshop, but want to edit pictures occasionally for fun and don't want to invest in Photoshop.

Grids
For this project, we picked an image and copied it into a grid patter and made each quadrant unique by manipulating the color, effects, etc. I made three different ones. My favorite is the one with the kids and the umbrella, which I made last.

Abstract
This assignment was inspired by the movie "My Kid Could Paint That," about a four year old abstract artist. For the two pieces I made for this assignment, I mostly used the brush tool, along with erasers, and the smudge tool. I really liked this assignment because it was different from what we usually do, and was entirely creative. The first drawing was kind of an experiment with using the brush tool, and I like how the second one came out more than the first.
